Overview
Strong grades are no longer sufficient for student success. Brand Up Academy enables middle and high school students to identify their strengths, communicate confidently, and develop a digital presence valued by colleges and employers. Drawing from the best-selling book Brand Up: The Ultimate Playbook for College & Career Success (Post Hill Press/Simon & Schuster) the program integrates personal branding, digital leadership, and practical skills to support students with applications, interviews, and professional networking.
Brand Up Academy has been featured in national media and is used by schools, youth organizations, and leadership programs dedicated to providing students with future-ready skills beyond traditional classroom instruction.
The program is led by experienced educators Stacey Ross Cohen and Jason Shaffer.

Our team

Stacey Ross Cohen is a best-selling author, TEDx speaker, and marketing professional, Stacey holds a BS in Human Development from Syracuse University, an MBA from Fordham University, and a certificate in Media, Entertainment, & Technology from NYU Leonard Stern School of Business. Stacey has traveled the country educating parents, teachers, and teens on personal branding, digital leadership, and communications.

Jason Shaffer is an innovative educator at Lake Highland Prep School, guiding middle schoolers in entrepreneurship for modern success. Formerly at North Broward Prep, he pioneered the Personal Branding and Digital Communications curriculum, now a national model. Jason's awards include North Broward's Soaring Eagle and Meritas Excellence in Teaching. He earned a BA in History from Florida Atlantic University.

Abby Pan is the Social Media Manager for Brand Up. Abby handles the creative copy and management for all of BrandUp's social media platforms. Her experience includes social media management and marketing, copywriting, email marketing, and more. She has a background as a journalist and magazine editor working for online and print publications.

Sean Gaillard
Director of Educator Partnerships
Sean Gaillard is an innovative educator, author, and nationally recognized thought leader with over 20 years of experience advancing student-centered learning. As a principal, he led initiatives in creativity, collaboration, and student empowerment. He was named Piedmont-Triad Regional Principal of the Year and was a finalist for North Carolina Principal of the Year. Sean authored The Pepper Effect and created the global #CelebrateMonday movement. At Brand Up Academy, he partners with educators to bring Brand Up in high schools in impactful, student-focused ways.

Diane Feuer
School & Community Outreach Manager
Diane Feuer brings extensive experience supporting educational environments, including serving as Assistant Administrator at The Devereux Millwood Learning Center and as a member of the Committee on Special Education (CSE) for the Chappaqua Central School District. Diane is committed to empowering students with the confidence, clarity, and skills to navigate academic and career success. She leads outreach to high schools and community partners, expanding access to Brand Up’s tools and resources.

Cecile Rothschild serves as the creative director for Brand Up. Cécile’s breadth of experience includes brand and visual identity, book design and illustrations, website development and design, eMarketing and social media campaigns, promotional programs, marketing and advertising campaigns and more. She also runs the branding, communications and design studio Create and Associates.

Craig Vezina is an international education leader and entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of experience in K–12 and higher education. He has served as a teacher, advisor, coach, counselor, and administrator in leading international schools. Over the past eight years, he has focused on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability education, contributing to global forums such as Harvard’s Global Development Group and SXSWedu. Craig holds an MA from Columbia University and a PhD from the Centre des Études Diplomatiques et Stratégiques in Paris.
